An Evening in Kathmandu
Cooking classes just hit a new high – Nepal style (see what we did there🏔️). Join chef Joel as he brings the flavors of this faraway country to your own kitchen. Learn essential techniques and kitchen secrets to create mouth-watering dishes with a professional chef at your side. Cooking is always more enjoyable in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. This class isn’t just hands-on – it’s also an opportunity to savor the exotic flavors of Nepal and give your taste buds something special to enjoy! Plus, you’ll leave the class with a full stomach, knowing that you just cooked some of the best food you’ve ever tasted.
Participants will prepare the traditional Nepali staple, Dal Bhat (flavorful stewed lentils and steamed rice) to be served with these tasty side dishes:
- Spinach and potato curry
- Chicken Sekuwa (spiced chicken kebabs)
- Charred tomato chutney
- Kaakro Ko Achar (cucumber pickle salad)
- Pampadom (chickpea flatbread)
- Aloo Chop (breaded potato patties filled with minced lamb and spices)
- Nepalese chai tea cookies for dessert
Wine, beer, and cocktails are available for purchase from our bar. Come early for cocktails (5:30) — class begins at 6:00!
Our classes are small, so you get personal attention from our professional instructors. Your instructor, Chef Joel, is a nationally-recognized culinary instructor with over 25 years of teaching experience. He brings his unique flair to teaching, using his sense of humor and passion for cooking to inspire and involve his students.
