Elevating Your Culinary Experience
Imagine the perfect blend of food and wine, where each sip of wine enhances your appreciation of the dish and each bite of food brings out the unique characteristics of the wine. That’s the magic we’re creating at “Bordeaux Bliss”.
The Stars of the Show: Bordeaux Wines
Just like champagne vs sparkling wine, in order to be a true Bordeaux, the wine must come from the Bordeaux region of France. Bordeaux wines are known for their complexity, depth, and aging potential. They are typically blends of several grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, with each grape having its own unique flavor and aroma profile.
Let’s dive into the exciting lineup of the six premium Bordeaux wines that will grace our tables during this exclusive event.
2022 Chateau la Rame Bordeaux Blanc
Kicking off our evening is the Chateau la Rame Bordeaux Blanc, a refreshing white wine that is a delightful blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Its bright acidity and citrus notes would surely make it a wonderful companion for our starter course.
2019 Château Pont de Brion Graves Rouge
Next, is the Château Pont de Brion Graves Rouge, a red wine renowned for its balance of fruit and tannins, layered with notes of blackcurrant and cherry. This will no doubt provide a delightful contrast to our second dish.
2019 Chateau Haut-Segottes Saint Emilion Grand Cru
Our third wine, the Chateau Haut-Segottes Saint Emilion Grand Cru, is a red wine that’s a testament to the prowess of Bordeaux’s right bank. This wine, with its rich plum and blackberry notes, promises to be an enchanting partner to our meat course.
Closerie du Pelan Francs-Cotes-de-Bordeaux
Moving forward, the Closerie du Pelan Francs-Cotes-de-Bordeaux is a hidden gem from the lesser-known Francs-Cotes-de-Bordeaux appellation. Its unique flavor profile will provide a fascinating complement to our fourth course.
2019 Chateau des Graviers Margaux
Next is the Chateau des Graviers Margaux, a classic red wine from the Margaux appellation. Its luscious flavors of red fruit and silky tannins promise to elevate our fifth dish to new gastronomic heights.
2019 Chateau 1999 Chante L’Oiseau Sauternes
To conclude our wine journey, we’ll be serving the Chateau 1999 Chante L’Oiseau Sauternes, a dessert wine known for its honeyed sweetness and concentrated flavors of dried fruit. Paired with our dessert course, it will ensure our evening ends on a high note.
Stay tuned for the grand reveal of Chef Ben’s six-course French-inspired menu, designed to perfectly complement these exquisite wines. Expect an array of dishes that not only taste divine but also tell a story about the rich culinary heritage of France.
